Hopefully you have sent out your resume to various companies and you now have heard some feedback. At this stage you should have heard back from someone asking when are you available to interview.
I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU ARE AT THIS STAGE. YOU SHOULD BE PROUD, YOUR HARD WORK HAS PAID OFF!!
But now your biggest worries are what will you wear? What kind of questions should I prepare for? HELP!!!
These are common questions I hope to give you a clearer idea of what to expect in the interview process.
WHAT TO WEAR
Because it is such a creative industry and you are hoping to work in fashion, your wardrobe plays an important part in your interview. You should fee free to show a little bit of your personal style while still maintaining a professional look.
This is not the time to break out black pants and a plain white top. You are allowed to wear a few more fashionable (NOT TRENDY) pieces.
I would suggest wearing a smart dress or skirt with heels or simple flats.
Here are some examples from street style photos.

Polyvore-The Academic What Will They Ask Me? A lot of people stress out about the interview questions but there is no need to fear. Most employers are nice and polite. Remember that they are human too and they are not out to find every little mistake you make, they want to like you. As for the questions they will ask, they are pretty simple questions about your previous experiences and your personal life. Here are many of the questions I have been asked in the past at various magazines
See the questions are not so bad! Here are just a few last tips -Its always a good idea to have a reference list. Some people ask for one but not always -ALWAYS CARRY 2-3 COPIES OF YOUR RESUMES. THEY WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE A PHYSICAL COPY AT THE INTERVIEW -Be on time -Don't be afraid to ask questions -Be confident -Remember to do your research on the company you are interviewing with! Good luck on your interview! *and don't forget to comment below and tell me all about it* |
